Now it is time to perform the analyses that will actually answer the research questions we have. In the following sections, we start by performing simple linear regression analyses for each of the variables, then looking at the full model with multiple linear regression analysis and interaction analysis to investigate the moderating effect of gender in the association, as well as finish up with model diagnostics. For this part, we explain and give examples for all the steps in the analysis, but what to actually include in the text on your thesis differs slightly.
A note on writing the section on statistical analysis
When writing about the statistical analysis in your thesis, it should be clear what you have done and why you have done it. Things to include in your text are (for example): description of the analytical sample, choice of analytical method, and analytical (modelling) strategy. Other than this, you can discuss with your supervisor what more to add to your text.
